Melanie “Mel” Mohler
I’m a writer, editor and local historian based in Akron, Ohio.
I have an MA in Applied History and Public Humanities and a BA in International Relations.
I am the editor of Ohio Genealogy News, a contributing reporter for Signal Akron and a documenter for Akron Documenters.
My research interests include neighborhoods, community development, community development corporations (CDCs) and social clubs. Ultimately, I find inspiration and joy in telling the stories of everyday people, places and things.
